Der Vollmond am 22. Juli 2013 – Guru Poornima

Gurunath Siddhanath schreibt in seinem Vollmond-newsletter:

Guru Purnima

This full moon is very special for every disciple who has a sincere yearning for spiritual development and grace. This is because the coming full moon is the “Guru Purnima”, i.e. “The Full Moon of a Guru.” According to the Hindu calendar, Guru Purnima is celebrated on the full moon day in the month of Ashadha (July). As it provides an opportunity to celebrate and empower the essence of Guru-Shishya parampara (Guru-disciple tradition), the Guru Purnima has a special place in the Yogic and the Hindu traditions. Due to the infinite divine grace that is available on the Guru Purnima day, the disciples can enhance and deepen their bond with the Guru manifold.

It is from ancient times that the festival of Guru Purnima is being celebrated in India. There are various important events that are attached to the Guru Purnima day. It was on the Guru Purnima that Bhagwan Veda Vyasa, the author of the Brahma Sutras, eighteen Puranas and Mahabharat, was born. Veda Vyasa is considered as one of the most important amongst the greatest Gurus of India. In honour of Veda Vyasa, the Guru Purnima is also known as “Vyas Purnima”. Also, it was on the Guru Purnima day that Gautam Buddha gave his first sermon, at Sarnath. Guru Purnima is a powerful day to strengthen the connection with the Guru, and become totally available to His divine grace, that is more than ready to be showered on this day.

There are various ways in which a disciple can make the most of this powerful opportunity.

1. Connect with the Guru. Once, during a satsang, a disciple asked Gurunath, “How can I get connected to you in your absence?” In his charming way, Gurunath replied, “By doing  Kriya.” So make it a point to do Kriya on this Guru Purnima day, and deepen your connection with Gurunath. The depth of meditation is multiplied a thousand-fold on this day.

2. Guru Purnima is an opportunity to convey your gratitude and reverence to the Guru. It is the day on which the disciple celebrates the presence of Guru in his life. This can be done by expressing gratitude, love, respect and surrender to the Guru.

3. It is also an opportunity to take note of all the beautiful transformations that have manifested in your life only because of the Guru’s grace and guidance. Taking note of positive shifts in behavior patterns and thinking patterns, and offering the gratefulness for the same at the feet of the Guru, makes you more open to such positive shifts. Praying to the Guru and expressing gratitude can enhance the Guru-Shishya relationship, and strengthen the bond even more.  Guru Purnima is the day to be completely open to the divine grace and energy which is being showered by the Guru abundantly.

4. The Guru Tattva (Guru Principle) is most powerful, active and available on the Guru Purnima day. Make the most of it by being totally immersed into the thoughts of the Guru. Meditate on Gurunath, and open yourself to his energy and grace.

5. Donating to the organization, and doing Guru’s seva (service)  on the Guru Purnima, multiplies  the good karma. So in whatever way you can, do seva to the Guru.
These are some of the powerful ways in which you can take advantage of the infinite  divine energy of the Guru Purnima. As Swami Vivekananda has said, it is through the divine help that “the higher power and the possibilities of the soul are quickened, spiritual life is awakened, growth is animated, and man becomes holy and perfect in the end.” However, “this quickening impulse" cannot be derived from books. The soul can receive impulses only from another soul, and nothing else. The person from whose soul such impulse comes is the Guru, and the person to whose soul the impulse is conveyed is the “shishya” (disciple). The Guru Purnima offers the powerful opportunity to receive the infinite impulses from the Guru.

Let us celebrate this day by expressing gratitude, and by surrendering ourselves at the feet of the Guru. Let us celebrate the Guru-Shishya Parampara, and bring its essence into our lives.

Zur Inspiration,
Mirabai

„Namaste,
Full Moon Greetings to All! May this Full Moon bring peace and love in our lives! On every Full Moon, Yogiraj Siddhanath and the Hamsa Yoga Sangh (HYS) serve humanity by sending out powerful peace vibrations to the Earth, through the collective Earth Peace Meditation. The next Full Moon Day, on May 24th, brings an opportunity for us to serve humanity by participating in the collective Earth Peace Meditation, and spreading Earth Peace through Self Peace.
Yogiraj
On the Full Moon day, Yogiraj transmits Shaktipat healing energy worldwide to help evolve humanity into a peaceful coexistence. You can take advantage of this healing transmission by connecting yourself to Yogiraj and becoming open and totally receptive to his transmissions. You can also participate actively in Yogiraj’s mission of ‘Earth Peace through Self Peace’ by doing the Earth Peace Meditation. If you would like to learn the Earth Peace meditation, you can watch Yogiraj demonstrate it on this online video.

As group meditation is known to multiply the positive vibrations emitted by Earth Peace Meditation, it is advisable to do this meditation in groups. Earth Peace Meditation can be done in comfortable settings like your living room, terrace, yoga studio, and even on a beach. The minimal requirements of the Earth Peace Meditation make it easy to be done in a group. However, if joining a group is not possible, then you can do the Earth Peace Meditation alone and be a part of Hamsa Yoga Sangh’s global efforts to spread Earth Peace.“

Grund: „Gerechtigkeit“, was auch sonst.

Namaste,
Full Moon Blessings to All!  May this month of Vedic New Year bring the beginning of great positivity in our lives! The next full moon, on April 25th, brings an opportunity to be a part of Yogiraj Siddhanath’s mission of Earth peace through self peace. On every full moon, Yogiraj Siddhanath and the Hamsa Yoga Sangh (HYS) serve humanity as their larger Self through a collective Earth Peace Meditation.
Yogiraj
You can participate in Yogiraj’s mission by doing the Earth Peace Meditation, which is a united  effort of HYS to bring peace to the world. On this day, Yogiraj transmits Shaktipat healing energy worldwide to help evolve humanity into a peaceful coexistence. If you would like to learn the Earth Peace meditation, you can watch Yogiraj demonstrate it on this online video.

The powerful vibrations of love and peace are amplified when the Earth Peace Meditation is done in groups. So get together with interested souls in a comfortable setting such as your living room, yoga studio or open terrace, and do the Earth Peace Meditation. Group meditation promotes harmony and a feeling of unity. Yogiraj calls such gathering of souls as a “Come Unity Humanity.” In case you are unable to join a group, then you can practice the Earth Peace Meditation on your own. You will still be a part of a global chain of Hamsas meditating together for Earth peace.

Namasté,

Mirabai
